NAMES KAWG&F’S MELISSA PITCHFORD
TREASURER
BALTIMORE (February 20, 2007)—Katz,
Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman,
P.A. (KAWG&F), a regional public accounting
and consulting firm headquartered in Timonium,
Maryland, is pleased to announce that Melissa
Pitchford, CPA, has been elected to serve
as treasurer on the Executive Council of
the Maryland Medical Group Management Association
(MGMA).
The MGMA serves as the nation's voice
for the medical group practice profession.
The association’s mission is to continually
improve the performance of medical group
practice professionals and the nearly 13,000
organizations they represent. As treasurer,
Pitchford will be in charge of all financial
aspects of the Maryland council including
collection of dues from association members,
development of the fiscal budget in accordance
with the Executive Council, and recording
of all financial transactions. As an elected
member, Pitchford will serve a two year
term which began on January 1, 2007 .
Pitchford, a manager and KAWG&F,
co-chairs the firm’s Medical Practice
Services Group in addition to providing
clients with accounting, tax and consulting
services.

Pitchford is a graduate of Salisbury
State University where she earned a Bachelors
of Science in Accounting. She is a member
of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and the Maryland Association
of Certified Public Accountants.
